PSA Peugeot-Citroen and e-Hdi The whole green technology
Surprise: the magical cylinder Peugeot is checked a new technology, called e-HDi and to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions of diesel engines in the range diesel. Presented in these days the world premiere in Paris, the E-HDI is essentially a new-generation Stop & Start, which combines a reversible alternator in a diesel engine, and that especially equip most of the Peugeot and Citroën from the end of 2010 .
The originality of the system and Hdi-through in fuel consumption and emissions are killed up to 15%, is due to the combination of several technologies:
a Stop & Start system with alternator reversible second-generation
and a system-booster that allows instant re-ignition engine management system able to recover the electronics of energy during deceleration, a gearbox with ratios optimized. The Citroën C4 Citroën C5 followed by the new cars will be the first group to benefit.
Still on the theme of environmental protection, as well as technology and trans-Hdi Group will launch between 2010 and 2012 also iOn Peugeot and Citroen C-ZERO, 100% electric vehicles, the Peugeot 3008 and Citroën HYbrid4 DS5 HYbrid4, hybrid vehicles diesel.
