2012 Mitsubishi Montero

Mitsubishi introduced the 2012 version Mitsubishi Montero SUV. Montero is the rare SUV that is truly comfortable living in two worlds. 2012 Mitsubishi Montero has some standard exterior features include: skid plates for the four-wheel-drive transfer case, 16-inch alloy wheels, color-keyed grille, integrated fog lights, and tow hooks, to name a few. Mitsubishi Montero’s interiors beckon you to take a seat and enjoy what it offers. Not only this, Montero is packed with many advanced features like multi mode ABS, AWC, Cruise Control, EBD, Air bags, etc.

New for this year, there are four different Montero Sport models – the Montero Sport ES, Montero Sport LS, Montero Sport XLS, and the Montero Sport Limited. At the heart of every 2012 Mitsubishi Montero is one of the toughest engines on the road today. Both the barebones Montero XLS model and the more sophisticated Montero Limited model come standard with 3.8-liter, cast-iron, SOHC, 24-valve V-6 engines that produce 215 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and deliver 248 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,250 rpm. That, however, is just the beginning. Read any recent 2012 "Mitsubishi Montero" review and you'll see critics also cooing about the Montero transmission - a Sportronic sequential shift 5-speed automatic with Adaptive Shift Control. The truck offers front independent double wishbone suspension with coil springs, and rear independent multi-link suspension with coil springs as well. Don't believe us? Then check out some of our 2012 Mitsubishi Montero pictures today.

It's hard to imagine anything weighing 4,600 pounds as light on its feet. But with a unibody construction giving it a low center of gravity, and precise, responsive steering, the Montero floats like a butterfly over the tough stuff. Other Mitsubishi Montero safety features include: rack-and-pinion steering, RISE unibody chassis, front and rear crumple zones, Active Trac drive system, MultiMode anti-lock braking system, and the Mitsubishi Active Skid and Traction Control System.
